Celebrating my 101st birthday is a humbling experience, especially surrounded by my children—both those who are with me today and those forever in my heart.
Even as I look at them now, all grown with families of their own, I still feel the same tender love I did when they were small enough to hold in my arms. Over the years, I've done my best to teach them the same joyful truths I've shared with all of you.
The Foundation of Our Faith
God is our Heavenly Father, and we are His children. Jesus Christ is His Son, and this is His Church, a truth reflected in the name He gave it. It is only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can repent and return to God's presence.
Guidance for a Joyful Life
We find true joy by choosing to "think celestial" and staying on the covenant path that begins with baptism and leads to the temple. God will speak to us when we make the effort to hear Him. The world is in need of peacemakers, so please, be kind.
A Heartfelt Thank You
I am profoundly grateful for your faithfulness, your expressions of gratitude, and your prayers. You inspire me to continually strive to be a better disciple of Jesus Christ.
