SALT LAKE CITY — March 6, 2026 — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released new official photographs featuring the Church’s highest governing bodies — the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
The updated images were taken on March 4, 2026, inside the Church Administration Building in Salt Lake City. The photos include newly called Apostle Clark G. Gilbert, who joined the Quorum on February 11, 2026, following the passing of Jeffrey R. Holland.
The newly released photographs present the current leadership of the global faith, which oversees the Church’s spiritual direction and worldwide ministry.
In the front row of the image, from left to right, are Apostles David A. Bednar, Dieter F. Uchtdorf (acting president of the Quorum), Henry B. Eyring, Dallin H. Oaks, D. Todd Christofferson, Quentin L. Cook and Neil L. Andersen.
The back row features Ronald A. Rasband, Gary E. Stevenson, Dale G. Renlund, Gerrit W. Gong, Ulisses Soares, Patrick Kearon, Gérald Caussé and Clark G. Gilbert.
According to the Church, the title “Apostle” originates from the ministry of Jesus Christ, who called twelve disciples to be His closest witnesses and representatives. In modern times, Apostles continue that mission by testifying of Jesus Christ and overseeing the Church’s global efforts to share the gospel.
Within the Church’s leadership structure, the First Presidency serves as the highest governing council, while the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles functions as the second-highest governing body. Together, these leaders guide the Church’s doctrine, missionary efforts and worldwide administration.
The newly released photographs provide an updated visual representation of the Church’s leadership following recent changes within the Quorum.
