The invitation comes as a response to recent regional events, with Church leadership urging congregants to seek divine intervention and personal transformation to address societal challenges.
A Call to "The Formula for Peace"
In an official statement, the Area Presidency emphasized that lasting stability begins within the individual and the home. They drew upon the New Testament teachings of Jesus Christ, quoting the Savior’s promise to His disciples:
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Leaders underscored that while global and local conflicts often stem from discord, the remedy is rooted in personal righteousness. The Presidency cited President Dallin H. Oaks, a senior leader of the Church, who taught that "War and conflict are the result of wickedness. Peace is the product of righteousness... the formula for peace: keep the commandments of God."
